Le Sueur County
Jim Reeder is a lifetime resident of Le Sueur County. He and his wife Mindy, raised three children on the farm his great-grandparents established in Montgomery Township in 1871.
In addition to the farm, Jim owns and runs a small business, Downtown Sound Music Store. He is also known for his bands -- The Czech Lites Band and The Downtown Sound Dance Band -- which in the past performed at weddings, festivals, dance halls, and community events. Jim now volunteers to play TAPS on trumpet for veterans at funerals and Memorial Day Services and helps with music at community gatherings.

My family outside our home.
My children are the 5th generation of Reeders raised in the farmhouse that my great-grandparents built.
A Shared Vision
Jim believes in a future-ready county that honors its rural roots. His vision is to ensure Le Sueur County remains a place where local decision-making is respected, taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, and our community continues to thrive as a vibrant place to live and work.
Jim says, "I hear different concerns from different areas of the county. I consistently hear that people love living in our beautiful county, but they have concerns about taxes, data centers, county ditches, pressures from state and federal governments, loss of farm land and the
comprehensive plan released this spring."
